Kera Kabuki
About 130 households in Meiho Kera area of Gujo have been performing local Kabuki as an entertainment at Hakusan-jinja Shrine annual festival in autumn before the war. However, at the end of 1988, it was temporarily stopped due to a shortage of human resources and changes in entertainment. After that, local young people in their 20s and 30s gathered and revived Kera Kabuki in 2005 so that people in the area would enjoy it again. With the cooperation of for choreography guidance and props by Takao Kabuki Preservation Society in Hachiman-cho, a stage performance is held every year during Kera Hakusan-jinja Shrine annual festival.
