Kanomizu Dance
A festival which has been passed down to Kanomizu Shirayama-jinja Shrine for about 300 years and is held on the second Sunday and the day before September every year. It is designated as a nationally selected folk performing art and an important intangible folk cultural property of Gifu. About 80 local boys are dressed as actors and perform dancing. You can see the brave dance of four young people carrying bamboo ornaments with 3.6m long.

The dance in front of the hall of worship wihch is a fierce dance of four young people is a must see. The large procession of about 80 people, with little boys wearing Hanagasa with makeup and mask, is also a masterpiece.
