Meotodaki Waterfall
Take your family photo with this waterfall!
Heading north for 10 minutes from Takasu Interchange towards National Route 156, you will see the waterfall on the upper stream of Nagaragawa River. That is Meotodaki Waterfall. It is made up of two waterfalls with height 17m, so it is called Meotodaki, means husband and wife in Japanese. You can fully feel the negative ion near to the basin. This waterfall is located near to the parking area. As you do not need to walk too long, children can come without any worries!
It is a powerful waterfall spot for family.
Visitors can go near to the basin and feel the water splash and sound.
Although it is only 2 minutes’ walk from parking area, we suggest you wear a pair of comfortable sneakers as path is unpaved.
Watershed Park

A quiet park for you to feel the small water stream
Watershed means the junction of two different water. There are many watersheds on mountains forming the backbone of Japan. Watershed Park in Gujo is located inside city which is very rare. Broad-leaved trees are planted in the park where you can see all the red leaves.

Broad-leaved trees turn orange and red color in autumn.
Dairy products and sweets making from Hirugano milk are very popular
Café Watasuge
A great view to see the autumn leaves from the cafe
Visitors can see the autumn leaves in this glassed-in café right next to Watershed Park. The owner of the café also running a guest house in the same building. You can stay for one night to fully enjoy the nature of Hirugano Plateau too. Coffee made by water of the famous Mount Dainichigatake is great too!

Bokka-no-sato

Seeing the autumn leaves around the church is a must!
Bokka-no-sato is a theme park of flowers and animals. As it is located high up on the Hirugano-kogen (Hirugano Plateau), visitors can see more different kinds of autumn leaves here. Especially during the season end on early November, the mountain turns all red like mountain fire! Popular alpacas in the park welcome 6 more members this year. All 8 cute alpacas are waiting for you. Seeing autumn leaves and playing with animals are all suitable for family.
You can see all red leaves inside the park.

Visitors can get on a sightseeing train running inside the park to see the autumn leaves.
Kukkula Hirugano
Dairy products and sweets making from Hirugano milk are very popular
Souvenirs from Hirugano, Gujo and Hida, are all gathered in this facility near to Hirugano-kogen SA Smart Interchange. Dairy products using Hirugano milk and handmade sweets made by shops in local Gujo are very popular! Restaurant is providing local cuisine, Kei-chan (Stir fried chicken in miso sauce). The view from the sightseeing tower is great too.
Shops selling local food, specialties, dairy products, sweets and others are all inside the facility.
The best location to see Mount Dainichigatake from the tower.
Many visitors come to buy specialties of Hirugano, Hida and Hokuriku.
Yunohira Hot Spring
A hot spring to relax and warm your body and soul
A hot spring located inside the nature of Okunagara. Visitors can enjoy their hot bath near to the clear stream Nagaragawa River while seeing the seasonal sceneries. This excellent hot bath can ease our daily tiredness.
Have a bath to heal neuralgia and recover from tiredness and enjoy the natural negative ion.
Beautiful sceneries of Nagaragawa River in different seasons can be seen.
