Encountering New Things at a Village, Itoshiro

Having lunch at the only café in the village, MAGOEMON!
I decided to have my lunch at Café & Tavern MAGOEMON, opened in 2017. You can find it at the bus stop, Nishizaisho, 2 minutes’ drive from Itoshiro Yohinten. You can find the café right after you turn left from the bus stop.
The wooden kitchen, 5 counter seats and handwritten menus and blackboard make me feel like home.
The owner Mr Yasuhito Sakita born in Nagazaki and worked in Nagoya. He married with Ms Yui in 2017 and returned to her hometown Itoshiro. Mr Sakita decided to start his own new business right after they moved. He repaired part of his house in 6 months and start operating in November of the same year.
Menu changes every day according to the fresh vegetable and fish from Nagazaki. Mr Yasuhito says they do not have any significant menu. To ensure all dishes are handmade, they make their own seasonings, syrup and make desserts without refined white sugar.
Today’s lunch is combination of fried food. 4 kinds of croquettes make me so satisfied. All of them are juicy and taste so good!
