Takasu Area Roadside Station Dainichigatake
A small roadside station at the foot of the great Mt Dainichigatake
Roadside Station Dainichigatake looks like a mountain lodge located at the foot of Mt. Dainichigatake at an altitude of 1,709m. It is close to the entrance of Smart IC of Hirugano-kogen SA, which is convenient to access Takasu area. It is also used as a base for sightseeing spots where you can fully enjoy nature of Takasu at Bokka-no-sato, Kisouma Farm, Hirugano Bog Botanical Garden, and Watershed Park.
Soft serve ice cream using fresh Hirugano-kogen milk is very popular at the shop. They are also selling dairy products, such as cheese, fresh vegetables like corn, cabbage, and sweet potatoes, wild plants, carrot juice, and rice. Restaurant is popular for its seafood flavored Hida Takayama ramen too.
Other than providing road information throughout the year, this roadside station also provides ski resort information on Takasu area in winter. It provides a chain attachment zone too.
